Drilling & Completions
Our Drilling and Completions group has over 100 years of combined drilling experience with onshore mud and air drilling activities (directional, horizontal, Geothermal) throughout the US and Canada for depths up to 20,000 feet. The team provides on-site supervision and management of well drilling and completion operations for oil, conventional and unconventional natural gas (CBM, shale, tight sands) for various clients in the basins of the Rocky Mountains, including thousands of wells in the Powder River Basin alone. Combined, the group has drilled approximately 3,000 oil and gas wells and completed about 1,750 wells.
The group consists of a drilling team that includes drilling supervisors and a completion team with well site supervisors. As part of drilling and completion programs, these professionals conduct activities such as well design, completion design, and selection and provisioning of production equipment. Other activities include wellfield maintenance, workover rig supervision, drilling/completion material ordering and tracking, budget development and tracking for drilling/completion costs, management of more than 20 different subcontractors, daily communications with project engineers, and well logging and perforation supervision.
In addition, the team has extensive experience with numerous artificial lift systems, well stimulation, well servicing and completion tools, and downhole hydraulics. Team members have been trained in WellView, Production Access, and database management for use in managing drilling programs, have well control training and certifications, and are very knowledgeable of BLM and state oil and gas regulations.
